Background
World Mental Health Day, observed on the 10th of October each year, is an important opportunity to raise awareness of mental health issues and to mobilise efforts in support of mental well-being globally. The 2026 World Mental Health Day theme reinforces the urgency of addressing mental health at the community and family level.
To mark this important occasion, MHC Zambia will host the 8th Annual Mental Health Conference in Lusaka from the 1st – 2nd October 2026, under the theme “Strengthening Family Systems for Mental Wellness.”
The conference will bring together stakeholders from key sectors of Zambian society to collaborate, share knowledge, and develop actionable strategies for improving mental health outcomes — beginning with the family unit. It will also serve as a valuable networking and brand exposure platform for sponsors.
