When we first convened eight years ago, the global conversation around mental health was fragmented. But as we come together for this year's conference, we renew our pledge to improve access, dismantle stigma, and equip our communities with the capacity to support healing.
We are aware that mental illness does not affect an individual alone; it reverberates through spouses, children, parents, siblings and the community at large. Conversely, recovery is accelerated when families and communities are equipped with psychoeducation, communication tools, and compassionate support.
